I came across the concept of Extreme Knitting or Big Knitting Today.
With the local Knit in Public event nearing, and intent possibly for a big of looney Big Knitting to partake, this totally caught my interest!
Give it a google. Its a WHOLE WORLD!
Photo above shows the works of Christien Meindertsma with Flocks
I find this completely fascinating. For patterns and ideas and whatnot on Big Stitch Knitting:

Clear Clogs for your Socks

Saw this in a Mag the other day. Available at www.knittersdream.com!
Clear clogs to show off your pretty knit socks. And they totally look comfy..
I hope to be as high up in the Knitting Niche to warrant getting myself a pair of these. Maybe I’ll make a pair of socks worthy of selling, to be able to justify purchasing a set..
Prairie Blanket

I ordered the Prairie Blanket pattern by Oat Couture, from Karp Styles up in the NWT.
I am excited! I’ve discovered that I like knitting on the diagonal.
That is….till about a gagillion stitches and not yet midway or decreasing as of yet. But I look forward to when I start decreasing. I bet that will be gratifying.
Anyways, the pattern arrived in the mail today after a very short transit time.
I’ve discovered another tidbit.
Up till now, I’ve sorta had this thing against paying for patterns. I am sure this is rude, poor form and unappreciative of knitting as an art. And rather selfish and entitled of me.
I only gave into buying this pattern after being unable to conceptualize how to design up a similar pattern myself.
Tho, For 5$ I ended up buying an unanticipated experience.
I am LOOKING forward to knitting it. Not in the same way as Que-ing up a random pattern on my Ravelry page. I knw I will actually complete this project. Even tho theres a few stitches this newer kntter isn’t familiar with. I know that 5$ spent means I’ll get ‘er done.
Theres a different sort of excitement. I have a fresh hardcopy. A hardcopy of something that now belongs to me. Not allowed to photocopy it. Not allowed to email it around. But its still mine to create.
I think 5$ was worth it. It gave me the oppurtunity to reflect on the days prior to endless amounts of online free patterns and endless instructional videos.
